Nine Emperor Gods Street Procession in Ipoh

This year’s Nine Emperor Gods Festival saw a combined street procession in Ipoh on Sunday, October 13, 2013. More than a hundred floats from various shrines, temples, associations and organisations from as far as Batu Gajah, Taiping, Penang and Kuala Lumpur participated in the procession.

The starting point was Ipoh’s Tow Boh Keong temple. The approximately 5km route saw the procession heading to Jalan CM Yussuf, straight to Jalan Sultan Iskandar then turned left until the junction of Jalan Sultan Yusuff.


From there, the procession turned right until Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, and headed straight until the junction of Jalan Raja Ekram then turned right to Jalan Yang Kalsom and back to Jalan Pasir Puteh. They then turned left to Jalan Tokong, returning to Tow Boh Keong temple.
